WEST COAST.
The Crown lands ranger, acting under instructions from the Lands Department, has issued a batch of summonses against a number of saw-millers for polluting certain streams with sawdust. Great interest is being taken in the matter, as an adverse decision ■would practically mean the shutting down of several mills.
