MELBOURNE, December 17. The Minister of Agriculture ha.s received a cable from the Victorian Government agent in South Africa asking for a quotation for 100,000 two and four-tooth ewes, c.i.f., East London. The Government has also received information- that prices in a recent sale of sheep at Durban ranged from 22s to 275. Argentine animals are offering at 245.
