' ' In connection with the proposed establish- " ment of a sanatorium in the South Island , for the treatment of consumptives, it" ""-is understood that a private residence and/ grounds in the neighbourhood of Dunedin have been placed' under offer to the Government for the purpose. ' A few cases of consumption-, mostly .among returned troopers, are undergoing open-air treatment at Bottle Lake, Christohurch.
The Government is being urged by -Mr W. Jennings, the new member for Egmon^j to subsidise medical men in remote country districts. ' >'
