BENEFIT TO MR CHARLES CARTER. The numerous friends end admirers of Mr Charles Carter, the popular tenor who for the past four years has been associated with the Pollard Opera, are reminded that this evening (Tuesday, Dcccm J ber 23) has been set aside to give him a benefit prior to hie departure for England, whither he leaves at the end of the present month to undergo a course of two—years' musical studies. The members of the Pollard Opera _ Company, who arrived in towa this morning, are assisting Mr Garter.
