DUNEDIN COURSING CLUB.

A special meeting of the Dunedin Coursing Club was held on the 18th in the Otago Hotel, Mr J- C. Abemethy being in the chair. The Chaimaan having read the advertisement convening the meeting, explained that Messrs Sievwright and James had forwarded a- letter to the club detailing the steps that were necessary to enable the club to be registered under the Unclassified Societies Registration Act of 1895. On the motion of. Mr F. Carter, seconded by Mr H. Lethaby, it was resolved that the club be registered under the act, under the style of the Dunedin Coursing Club. The following gentlemen were then elected as a committee for the ensuing year:— Messr* P. J. Helean, R. A. Crawshaw, L. Clancy, F. Carter, A. Aitken, A. Cursey, J. Ireelie, W. Millier, R. Drumm, J. Collins, H. Lethaby, and G. Davis. After some discussion in regard to the rules under which the club should be conducted, it was decided, on the motion of Mr Clancy, seconded by Mr S. Wynn«, that the committee be instructed to consider the National Coursing Club rules, so as to make them applicable to the Dunedin Coursing Club, the first meeting of the committee to be held on Monday, next. A vote of thanks to the Chairman having been carried, the meeting adjourned.
