The elections in the contested ridings of Lake County resulted as follows: — Arrow Riding (two members). — W. M'Kibx bin, 74; P. Reid, 68; H. Graham (late councillor), 56. Queenstown Riding (two members). — J. J. M'Bnde, 85; J. Cockburn, 77; R. Attley, 37. Greenstone (one member). — H. Birley, 33;; M'Kenzie, 19; Koch, 1. The following are the names of the councillors elected for Vincent County: — Hawea Riding. — John Kane. Clutha Riding. — Henry Partridge. Lindis Riding. — Thomas M'Whirter. Carrick Riding. — James Horn Dunstan Riding.— William C. Pitches. Manuherikia Riding. — Robert Rutherford. Matakanui Riding. — William Laidlaw. Earnscleugh Riding. — John Butler.
