Ihe ground is getting very dry and hard, being bad to get away quickly. The manager of the Local Imlu-try coul-d not manage a wash-down last Saturday, "not having sufficient bottom uncovered. The paddock he is taking off at present is on the high reef, and right underneath or alongside the road going to Gabriel's. It is all hard clay, and was welL driven out in the early days. The Local Industry declared "another dividend\pf Is on Tuesday, 11th inst., that being the fifth, amounting to 6s 6d paid back to shareholders.
