The Davis's Bend dredge keeps on payable gold. There is fully two month" 1 work between the present site of operations and the top boundary ol the claim.

Tho Matau's elevator doea not work satis- . factorily, otherwise the dredge would have at- . tacked the bank and increased the weekly leturns for some tiae pa&t.
Tho Isgapara Company have decided r.ot to touch the old Vmcout Kxtesi'-sd Company's claim before the dredge is sh'ftcd to Galloway Flat.
