chairman of tli« Maryborough Education 'Board for the twenty-sixth year in succession. Mr Seymour holds a colonial -record in thi's respect. The Hon. H. J. Reeves stated at the Harbour Board meeting at Westport that the (Wellington investors who have taken up two coal leases in this district have a hundred thousand pounds worth of capital behind There is a deal of grumbling here at the slow progress of the work on the Point Elizabeth coal mine railway. There are a good number of men out of work.
