NELSON.
A daring theft of a eashbox containing £45 wa« perpetrated at Le.\iu and Co.'s on the 22nd between 5 and 7 p.m., while- the ckrks were away at tea, prior to returning for overtime. The box had been left in the drawer, as the custodian was coming back to work. There v no clue, and the mattei is in the hands of tho police.
