Destruction of rabbits.

TO THE EDITOB.

Sir, — I have noticed that many letters appear in your valuable paper from time to timo concerning the destruction of rabbits and the most effective way to cope with them. As> I havo travelled over very many rabbit warrens these las>t 18 years I can prove that trapping is the best method for clearing them out. I noticed a long letter from one Arthur .7. Sutherland, the tone of which is against trapping and in favour of pollard poisoning, but I can assure you that pollard poisoning is not what it is "cracked ud" to be. Many a time pollard poison has been laid in vain. Now, in regard to one -run that I know contaiuiig about 12,000 acres, three men started to work it with traps, ferrets, and dogs, and the work done by them has thoroughly cleansed the ground — far better than if they had laid tons of poisoned pollard on it. — I am, etc., Naseby, July 22. Constant Reader.
