J. Kyna a ton notified that he cliel not intend to occupy section 15, bock VIII, Mernvale.— X. M'Naughton applied that the land b^ transferred to him. He was lot prepared to pay the. arrears due on the section when forfeited, but intended to erect a house and comp'.j with all conditions. — Minister to be recommended to apj rcve of transTer.

G. Ro««, occupier of ipction 4, block V, Lillbnrn, having been railed on to show rause why his f,^ction i-hould not be frrfeited, Mr W. MTcah^ter wait^J on the board ai.d explained that his client had ananged with a person, to make improvement*, but they had not been done. Mr Ross had been nu^ed in the matter, and counsel now asked for three months' time to comply with the conditions, pjonnsuig that the lease would be forfeited without furthei notice if the improvements were not then on the ground.— lmprovements to bo effi etcd v. itliiu three months, otherwise leas-e shall be foi felted.

Robert Tapper, jun., was granted a grazing license ovei five acres of land between Chfden br.d^e aaid township, at 10s per acre, and D. C'et-d a similar hc-3 iso of section 12, Bowmont iLitlemeiit, at 4d per acre per annum.

Templeton's application to obtain a tit!» for section 7a, block XVII, Longwocd, was granted, subject to report of the warden and approval of the Minister. The following transfers were aoproved — Section €2, block XXII, Invercargill Hundred, fiom T. Ileidy to M. Reidy ; sections GS ana BTi, block V, Inveicaxgill Hundred, from J. M'Natty, jiri., to J. Marrah ; and sect.on 2, block X, Longwood, from J. Phillips to C. Hopgood Wm Blair's surrender of section 2G, block 11, Waikawa, was accepted. Chas. Harvey, jun.. was granted time to pay arrears on sections 18 and 13, block IX, Waikcwa; md Thos. Lnrnpert's license over pcotion 1, block I, Winton township, was forfeited. It was resolved that the resolution accepting surrender of section 12, block VIII, Longwood, ba rescinded, and the lease forfeited. Forfeiture was rescinded in regard to W. J. Darley's license of section 7, Waiau, Otahu. Minor matters were dealt with in committee, and the board adjourned.
