CHRIST'S COLLEGE BEATS OTAGO BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL.

The a-nnual match between Christ's College and the Otago High School was played here to-day on thi College Ground in fine weather. Ihere was hprdly any wind, the ground was in good order, and there was a large attendance.

During the whole of the fir»t spell the School were kept busy trying to stop the strong passing rushes of the College backs, and th&' fact that' th© College only got in three times is '<"cry creditable to the School defence.' The College' put up 9 points to nil in the first spell. The first try was scored by Bishop after a fine iia.^mg run between the backs, the second by Dar.sey from a g c rum on the School line. He fe-inted and got over. The third try was owing to poor play on Hay's part. The ball was in the College ground, and was passed from tho line to Bishop, who kicked tip the field to Hay. The latter fumbled, and Bishop was do>vn on nim and kicked away up the field. He outstripped all the opposing side and scored The College place-kicking was poor In the spell A.
