With the defection of tforv tulla our well-known sprinter Blazer move^ into the pride of r>lace. In what double bettirig is beinj? dona Blazer is first choice in the Winter Cup, and Siege Gun is as highly thought of at any of the others. The acceptances ret ceived for the Grand National Steeplechase must be gratifying to the handicapper, a< out of the 29 handicapped only six have de< cliaed to continue the engagement. The dropping out ol Dundas was a blow to early backers, a< Mr Hobbs'6 gelding wa« in great demand for the race. Of tho others who have falle-n ouli of the contest none of them were accorded any support in double*. The nominations received for the Junipers' Flat Race suggeaj that that class of rae3 would become populai with the owners of leppeis.
