Fat stock &till show an upward tendency. Good crossbred wethers realised 233 to 37s ; a few extra up to 50s. No New Zealand were offered. In Melbourne fat merinos realised up to 2Gs — the highest for many years. July 25. The drafts of New Zealand sheep arrived late for yesterday'-* sales, hut buyers waited. One hundred and eight, 011 behalf of Mr Scales of Wellington, were sold at 29s Gd, and some 200 on behalf of other New Zealand agents ranged from 31b 5d to 38s 6d.

Intimation has been received in Dunedin that Messrs Clolrsbroug-h, Mort, and Co. sold by auction at Sydney on Thursday, through their agents (Mc-srs Maiden Bros.), the following Canterbury sheep: — 74- crossbred wethers, at 393; E0 do, at 27s 6d to 30s; 29 crossbred ewe*, at 295. \Vei3ht3 up to 651b are preferable. Messrs Goldsbrough, Mort, and Co. state that they aie confident prices will be maintained.
