NEW YORK, July 14. Tou^, of perishable good^. are rotting in the railway freight houses at Chicago owing to the strike of the railway freight hands. A famine is feared, as the city is practically isolated. July 15. Twenty thousand men are idle in Chicago. July 17. The strike of railway freight men at Chicago has collapsed. The wages scale and other disputes -will be settled hereafter between the employers and employed. I . July 21. The total loss caused by the anthracite mineiV strike to date is £11,000,000. The National Convention of the United Mine Workers has issued an appeal to the public.
