A later message sent -by Mr Seddon from Elandsfontem stages that all the patients aro doing well. • The Go\ernor haa been advised from Capetown, under date May 24, that the following New Zealander- are dangerously ill of enteric:— George Atkins (Wairoa Rr.uth), James Wills (Invercargill), both at Elandsfontein ; Frederick Charles Evans (Dtuiedin). at Pretoria ; Sergeant P Campbell (Chnstohurch), at Newcastle. A cable leceived by the Acting-Premier states that Lieutenant La^celles (Napier) is now out of danger, that Gourlay (Invercargill), and Burke (Dimedin) are in hospital at Elandsfontfiii, doing well, and that Cunningham (Port Molyneux) has been discharged from hospital, and is toming to Capetown. REMOUNTS FROM THE NORTII. PALMERSTON NORTH. May 27. The final shipment of 400 horses purchased by the Imperial remount officers for South Africa will be made to Wellington I to-day. The horses are described by competent, judges us the best lot yet collected in New Zealand, and the Imperial officers arc well satisfied with them.
