He Smoked His Cigar.
Mr Justice Grantham is telling a good Btory at his own expense. He was travelling in a non-smoking carriage when there entered a stalwart-looking man, who promptly lit a rather big cigar. "This if not a smoking carriage," said Mr Justice Grantham.
"All right, old chap,"' answered the man. "I will just fini&h tins cigar." His lordsliip handed the man his card, »d said he should report him at the next station. The smoker put the card in his pocket and went on with his weed. At the aext station ho changed into another carriage. Mr Justice Grantham shouted for fhn guard, -and demanded that the maai's name and address should be taken. The guard went to the carriage, ancf after a moment's conversation returned to his lordchip. "Do you know," he said, in a confidential whisper, "if I were you I would not prosecute that gent; he has ju«t given me His card — here it is — he is Mr Justice Gran•ham."
