NORTH NEW ZEAL IN!> <'.<'. HOTTING AUCKLAND, June 2. The North New Zealand Coursing dub held its initial meeting to-day and Saturday at the new Plumpton. Chevaiier Park. Entries came from all parts of the -"olouy, and coursing has evid>ntly taken a new lease of life in Auckland. The weather was beautifully fine, and the attendance large. About 50 courses were run off. The finals for the Challenge Stakes (winner £100, runner-up £25, third dog £10. three dogs at £5 3s) were decided to-day, when M. Taylor's brindle and white dog First Shot (by Maxim — Tinuite) beat J. Lop dell's brindle and white dog Lord Roberta (by Maxim — May Queen), and won the stake. H. Brierly's brindle bitch Barmaid (by Brandy — Blue Girl II) takes tldrd money in the final. For tho Supplementary Stakes (winner £15, runner-up £5) J. Lopdell's roan and white Princess May (by Maxim — May Queen) beat J. llyan'« brindle and white bitch, Kitty West (by Nor'-west — Kit), and won the otake. COURSING IN VICTORIA. A Melbourne cable says that the Goodwood Cup at Moonee Valley was won by Mac-Cilii-cuddy (Hernute — Clarendon), with Verve iui:npr-up.
