CAN A MAN BE YOUNG AT SEVENTY-TWO?
After the prime of life, do increasing yeara always mean a decline of physical rtrength? Doea it never happen that in this fight against Nature's law man is able to pose for a time as tho winner? The problem is as old as mankind. An Inglewood man's story (says a local paper) is only the latest expression of it. Old age and increasing infirmity seemed to have set their seal upon Mr John Allemann, of Dudley road, Inglewood. His early life had been spent on the Australian goldfields. Afterwards he settled in New Zealand, and became a farmer; but 10 years ago the hardships of his early mining days bpgan to tell on him, and from then until two years ago, when he was made hale and sound by the famous "Dr Williams' pink pills for pale people, he suffered agonies from rheumatism, — indeed, at 72 years of age the old gentleman is as. v hearty as possible, declaring that he feels as well as he did when a youngster. The interesting story of his rejuvenation (writes an interviewer) was unfolded to me the other day. I found him actively at work on tho farm cutting and stacking chaff. "I was born," ],c said, "in German Switzerland ; bub I have farmed in Inglewood for the past twentyfivo years. Over ten years ago I began to puffer from rheumatism Exposure to wet and use of bud food and water had vitiated my blood, and so acute did the rheumatic pains become in my neck, arms', Au inglewood rioneer. back, and legs that I wes almost frantic- with pan>. and my muscles were mj contracted that I could hardly move." "How long did this continue?" "Until about two years ago when an Inglewood storekeeper persuaded me to try Dr Williams' pink pills for palo people. To thorn I owe my present good health. In less than a week, and before I had taken half a box, 1 felt a great difference in mysolf. Then, m, I continued taking the pill", the rheumatism loft my neck, and the pains elsewhere sti'i^ided ; aft.°r using several more boxe3 I was perfectly cured. I am a deal stronger than 1 was before my illness — heartier, and more able to eat, and I am aa active and strong as I was years ago. As Dr Williams' pink pill-, are alone responsible for my rprovcry, I give them all the credit." Many men (and women too) who are not :m old as Mr Allemann, would yet like to bo a-little younger, »nd the rejuvenating effects of Dr Williams' pink pill-s are often mentioned by those who have used them. Thov arp known to havo erred a number of critical illnetses, /..ort of which, indeed, are only aggravation of a lack of "tone" in the nerves, or a watery or vitiated blood. Dr Williams*' pink pills for pale people (see that Dr Williams' name is on the bo\) have cured nervous exhaustion, paralysis, premature decay of the power?, con=umptiorr, anaemia, biliousness, indigestion. St Vituo' dance*, and all ailments peculiar to the gentlpr sex. Tl>ey art- sold at three (-hillings per box by die mi»t<* and storekeeper*, or, if not readily obtained without question, thpy can always be had, post free, from the Dr Wi'hamb' Medicine Company, Wellington. Nervous and anaemic sufferers are earnestly warned against mediemps which act upon the bowels: the}' are particularly dangerous. Dr Wi!liam»' pink pills are not a purgative; they cannot harm the rao'l delicatp person.
