Bazaar.- In connection with this corps, ?_ movement is on foot to raise funds for a drilir shed, as at present the men have to take then chance of the Athenteum Hall being disengaged on Wednesday nights. It is proposed to hold a bazaar on a large scale in a few months' time, and a committee of ladies has been appointed to work for and carry out this intention. The initial meeting, unfortunately, was by no means a representative one, possibly owing to the uncertain weather and shortness of notice. The sum of £100 is required, the captain already holding £20, and there ia no doubt the remaining £30 will be raised with very little effort. Church Affairs.— S. Stephen's Anglican Church held their annual harvest thanksgiving services on April 6. The church was beautifully decorated, the scarlet of tomatoes and apples combining most happily with the golden grain and the evergreens. The vicar at both sci vices took his text from the Sermon on th» Mount.
