GOLD QUEEN DREDGING COMPANY.
A meeting of the debenture-holders in the Gold Queen Dredging Company was held in the Board Room of the Agricultural Hall on Friday evening. Ovei 20 gentlemen were present, including the principal debeiituie-holdeis and the trustee for the debenture-holder* (Mr James Brown). Mr John Wardell occupied the chan. After an informal discussion it was resolved to request the trustee to stay realisation for a month or six weoks, those present agreeing to hold him harmless from the consequences of so doing, and an Advisory Committee, consisting of Messrs Poole, Roberts, Steele, Adam, ord M'Cracken, was appointed to confer with Mr Brown, and take such steps ap nii(?ht bp thought advisable for the protection of the elebc-nture-holders. The annual general meetirg of shareho'deT of the company was then held. The chairman of directors CMr J. Wardell) pres'fled, and about 20 shareholders were present. On the mot on of the Chairman, seconded by Mr T. N. Wilson, the report and balance shfPt were adopted An extraordinary penersl meetnif: to considei the question of liquidation was nest held. v.hen it was agreed, on the mct'on cf the Chairman, to adjourn for two months.
