MILTON GOVERNMENT POULTRY FARM.

In these the various breeds of fowls are kept during the laying season. During the past seaBon the poultry farms of the Department were unable to cope with the demand for eggs.

Owiug to the gratifying success of the farm, Mr D. D. Hyde, the poultry expert, considers more buildings necessary.

A good idea for poultry breeders, as they can be easily shifted about for fresh grass.

These are warmed by artificial heat, and the chicks transferred thereto after being hatched, in the incuoator.

A whistle from Mr Stewart, the manager, brings the fowls from all quaxters.
