BOWLING AT PALMERSTON NORTH. PALMERSTON NORTH, March 31. The holiday passed off very quietly in splendid weather. Three rinks of the Victoria Club met the local bowlers and suffered defeat in two rounds by 67 points, the scores being: Victoria 84, Palrherston 151. Pahiatua also sent three rinks, and were beaten by 16 points, the totals being: Pahiatua 84, Palmerston 100. Two rounds were played. The visitors expressed great satisfaction at the hospitable treatment shown by the local club. THE OAMARU TOURNAMENT. Fibst Day. OAMARU, March 2S. The bowling tournament began to-day in good weather.
