THE LATE MR WM. THURLOW, Familiarly known as "Uncle," who died at St. Bathans on January 31, 1902. He was one of the earliest of the Otago Goldfields' pioneers, working at Gabriel's Gully and the Dunstan. For many years past he was managing partner of the Vulcan Hotel, St. Bathans, making many friends.
