LANDS OPEN FOR SETTLEMENT IN QUEENSLAND.

The Queensland Government have acquired by re-purchase some of the finest agricultural lands on the Darling Downs. The estates purchased are the Govvrio Estate. "irnDriiina 44.500 acres; the Mount. Russell

Estate, comprising 45,000 acies; and the Goomburra Kstate, haviiig an area of 13,000 acres. It is the intention of the Government to offer the?e estates on liberal terms, some time between the end of April and the middle of May. Th lands to be offered are all within easy access of the Btate railway system, ancl aie distant about 60 miles from Toovvoomba and 160 miles off Brisbane. The estates are very suitable for the cultivation of lucerne and cereals, the yield of wheat for the past season being estimated at 18 bushels an acre Conditions of purchase are given in our advertising columns. It is the intention of the Queensland Government to throw open at a later date the Durundur Estates in the Mo re ton district, which is 43 to 56 miles from Brisbane. The Durundur Estates are suitable for dairying purposes.
