REEFTON, March 15.

Alpine— The mine manager reports —"The =outh iacc id Xo. 11 level has not been extendedsince last report. I have timbered lip to the face. There is no stone at present in this face. I have stopped it for a few shifts while rising for a stope on the south end of the stone, and as soon as that is done 1 will start the level again, as I fully expect to get stone ahead. The branch drive north has been extended 6ft for the week, making a total distance of 37ft horn the main lc\el. There is a fine body of stone still goiKg north in the face. The average width is about sft The stone is very hard, but of good quality I have se it 24 "tons to the batter}-. The contractor aru ciosscutting in Xo. 7 north."
