PURSUANT to '• The Mining Act, 1898," the Undersigned, THE CORPORATION OF THE MAYOR, COUNCILLORS, AISD CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF DUNEDIN, hereby applies for a License for a Water-race as specified m the ' Schedule hereto, tho course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose. Date and Number of Miner's Right: 291H October, 1901; No. 18,420. Address for Service: Town Hall, Dunedin. Dated at Dunedin, this 7th day of March, 1902. SCHEDULE. Locality of the Race, and of its Starting and Terminal Points.— The race commences on the Lee Stream at a dam site applied for by applicants 40 chains above its junction with Fortification Creek, and traverses Section 185 a and Section 8, Block X ; Section 5, Block XI ; Sections lS.and 16 ; Block VI, Road R«serve ; Sections 6 and 7, Block XI, Mount Hyde District ; and Sections 4 and 6, Block XVI, Maungatua District; and terminates in eaid Section 6 on the Taieri River, five chains from its junction trith the Lee Stream. Subsidiary races as described in the next column are also appliedfor under contemporaneous application Isos. 3 4, and 5, which the applicant repeats herein as f ollows : — (a) Fortification Creek, passing through Section 8, Block X, Mount Hyde District, four chains in length; (b) Sandy's Creek, passing through Section 5, Block XI, Mount Hyde District, five chains in length ; (c) Boyd's Creek, passing through Section 16, Block VI, Mount Hyde District, five chains in length. (The race applied for is to alter and extend the course of the race granted under License No. 11, W.R., to applicants.)
