THE CUSTOMS REVENUE. HIGHLY SATISFACTORY RETURNS.

The Right Hon. the Premier has courteously furnished us with the customs returns up to the 28th February, completing 11 months of the financial year.

The customs revenue of the colony for the month of February amounted to £185,699, making a total for the 11 months of £2,014.605 4s 3d. or £80,438 10s lid over the estimate for the jjerjotl. The monthly average of the year's estimate is £175,333 6s Bd, so that February's return is well above it.

Thp colony's beer duty for February came to £7573 ss' 2d. making a total for the 11 months of £82,326, or £3492 over the estimate for that period.
