OTAGO CYCLING CLUB'S SPORTS,

At a special meeting of the Otago Cycling Club Committee, held on Monday, the Secrotary reported that a communication had been received stating that "Ptagger Bill" Martin, the well-known Au%traliai*rider, would compete at the club's annual sports meeting, to be held on Saturday, March 8. Martin intends bringing Hia mow* pacing machines, and will give an exhibition of his fcpeed behind same. Entries have also been received from George Sutherland (the Now Zealand champion), " Peddlar " Partner -- (the champion English sprinter), and also . that old New Zealand favourite. Andy Ralfton. Sutherland and Palmer left Melbourne en route for Dunedin on the 12th February, and t-'.iould arrive about the 20th inst. Various other business in connection with the . spouts meeting was transacted, and, given a fine day. a record attendance and superl: racing may be expected. The club js to ba ' congratulated on their' endeavour to again bring cycle racing to the fore, and it isto be hoped that the public generally will phow their appreciation of the same by turning out en masse. •
