CATTLE SALE.

The National Mortgage and Agency Company report holding a large cattle sale at Wyudhain on Thursday, when they yarded over 400 head of cattle of all kinds. Buy3rs were present from all parts, but unfortunately the cattle were not as suitable a3 desired. Taieri and Peninsula men wanted big bullocks in forward condition, and these could not be obtained. However, the bulk of the entry was cleared at satisfactory prices as follows: — Three-year-old steers from £5 10s to £6 18s; two-year-old do, £4 15s to £6; speyed three-year-old heifers, £3 17s to £4 2s; fat cows, £4 12s 6d to £6; store cows, £2 5s to £3 10s; cull cows, 20s to 40s ; 11 two-year-old steers and heifers, £2 5s to £3; yearlings, 30s to 50s. Privately during the week we sold 150 head very forward bullocks at satisfactory prices, and 3000 hoggets to a northern buyer.
