THE WOOL SALES.

LONDON, January 20. The wool sales are firm, with good competition. Prices are unchanged. The Okawa clip realised od and the Geai SM.

January 30. There was keen competition for good wools. Prices were firm. Shabby wook sold in buyers' favour.

At the wool sales Otago clips realised si<3, Gore 6£d, and Kaputone BJd.

February 2. The wool sales continue brisk and firm. The late weakness has disappeared. Merinos are unchanged, and lower crossbreds occasionally .slightly cheaper. The Taroa clip realised 4fd, Buchanan B£d, and the Kaputone 10£ d. The total quantity catalogued to date is 139,431 bales, and 133,2/3 bales have been sold.
