February 3.— A gloom was cast over Wetherstones last Thursday, when a telegram arrived at the post offica here to the effect that James M'Clusky had been drowned at Waipori, while working at the Success dredge. He was for some time in Ballarat, where he belonged to the Foresters' Society, and on arrival at Tuapeka he joined the local Foresters lodge.
