WELLINGTON, January 29.

The following figures give the number of officers and men who have composed the several contingents : —

First Contingent. — 11 officers, 204 men ; — total, 216.

Second Contingent. — 14 officers, 254 men ; —total, 26?.

Third Contingent.— l 2 officers, 252 men; — total, 26t.

Fourth Contingent. — 24 officers, 442 men ; —total, 466.

Fifth Contingent.— 24 officers, 571 men; — total, 595. Sixth Contingent. — 22 officers, 560 men; — toral, 552,

Seventh Contingent. — 31 officers, 562 men ; —total, 593.

Eighth Contingent. — 60 officers, 1110 men; — total, 1170.

Grand total. — 193 officers, 3955 men. When the ninth contingent has been recruited the colony will "have contributed over 5000 officers and men to the war within less than two and a-half years.
