Mr William Waddell's Beauty, dam of the Champion Cow at the recent Invercargill Show. Beauty was Champion at Gore in 1899; first at Invercargill for milking cows in the same year; second at Invercargill in 1900 for butter-fat.
This hotel is situated about 36 miles north of Cromwell.
This pony stands 13J hands high, and took first prize for harness pony at the Gore Show; also winner of two first prixe» at South Canterbury A. and P. Show (two years in succession); two first prizes at Duaedin ; first at Gore; and winner off driving competition at Southland Metropolitan Show. This pony is now looked upon as the Champion of the South Island
