A two-roomed iwelling house, the property of Mr D. il'lnnes, Otiake (North Otago), was completely destroyed by fire last Wednesday. The owner was absent at the time, and can give no reason whatever of the fire's origin. Everything, including a valuable new sewing machine, which arrived only a day or two before, was destroyed. The house was insured for a small Bum.
