THE WOOL SALES. LONDON, July 15.
At the wool sales prices arc firm, but unchanged. July 16. At the wool pales there is strong competition and a firm market. July 17. At the wool sales there was good competition, but prices were unchanged. The wool sales close on the 26th inst. At the .sales the Rhodes clip brought lOkl, and x the Enderby brand 4^d. July 18. Wool. — Prices are firm, and there is spirited competition. July 19. At the wool sales the following clips wcro sold : — Mendip, S]d ; Leefield, 8-] d. The Bradford market is firm. Commons, 18id; supers, lS^d.
July 20,_ „ f At the wool sales competition ioti crossbreds had a hardening tendency. July 21. Al the wool sales a large catalogue wa^ opened. There was a brisk sale, and prices were firm. The sales included the Moa Flat clip, which realised 6fd. To date, at the present series 225,376 bales have been catalogued and 210 3 019 sold. Messrs Dalgety and Co (Limited) report having received the following cable from their head office, dated London, 20th mat. :\ " Wool sales will last until 26th July. There will probably be 50,000 bales held over. Sales continue firm, and prices are rather higher, especially for good merino wools."
