S. F. — Cough in horses is generally nioie a symptom of other diseases than an affection oi itself, and to successfully treat it would require an examination to ascertain its Cause. In the colony it may proceed from exposure, or defective accommodation, as small, illventilated or filthy stables. Where any of these conditions exist they ought to be removed, and a little Barbadoes tar, about the size of a marble, smeared on his molar teeth once a day, may probably relieve the irritation. Echinococcus. — In a veterinary query in the Witness of the Bth, re specimens of bacon, " trichiniasis " should read " echinococcus," •n error having crept in.
