The five thoroughbred horses pu'-cha.«ed in England by Mr Gilruth armed by the Papunui. They sire in first-rate condition. The New Zealand Times publishes a rumour that the Premier will piobably visit England for the occasion of the King's Coronation, and to attend a Confeience of Premiers likely to be held there.
A meeting of the North I&land members, of the Sheepbreeders' Association was held at Palmerston Noith on June 22 The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £260. The following council was elected : — Messrs G. W. Wheeler, J. Baker, and J. G. Wilson, foi Manavvatu and West Coast ; Messrs W. C. Buchanan, A. Matthew?, and J. Stucker, Waii*arapa ; Messrs P. W. Birch, aud T. Ciossey, Ha\vke"s Bay. The Auckland and Gisborne Agricultural and Pastoral Associations will elect one member for their respective districts.
