Wheat at ilark Lane is Gd lower on the week. o1 June Zl. The Bank of England returns show the . reserve to be £25.172,000, and the stock j of coin and bullion £35. /42,000, the peicentage of reseive to liabilities being 51.79. The notes in circulation total £29,585,000 ; public depo&its, £11,392,000 ; other deposits. £38,958,000; Government securities, £14,802,000 ; other secmitie*, £27.260,000. Three months' bills are discounted at 2£ per cent. Consols are quoted at £93 15s. Quotations for colonial Government stocks are subjoined, compared -with those ruling at the close of last week : —

The -nheat markets are quiet, and show a downward tendency. Cargoes are fiat. Victorian and South Australian February and April shipments are quoted at 29s 3d. Sugar (quiet): German, 9s 3d; first marks, 11s 3id. The Bradford wool market is improving. Common sixties, 18d ; supers, 18|d. Rabbits are practically unsaleable;.
