THE COLCHESTER MURDER.
LONDON, June 19. Charles Lillywhite, who was arrested at Wellington, New Zealand, on a charge oi murdering some years ago a shopkeeper at Colchester, and was extradited to England on the charge, was confronted — first in an unshaven state and afterwards shaved — by numerous 'residents who had been familjor with Blatch, with whom Lillywhite is supposed to be identical, but the result of the interviews has not been disclosed. The Daily Mail states that Isaac Lillywhite, of Leeds, after one wrong selection, identified the accused as his brother. June 22. In connection with the arrest and extradition from New Zealand of Charles Lillywhite on a charge of being a man named Blatch, wanted for the murder some years ago of a draper at Colchester, 30 witnesses failed positively to identify Lillywhite as Blatch. They admit there is a striking resemblance. Lillywhite conversed, with his brother Isaac, recalling many incidents of his childhood. It is understood Lillywhite has been liberated.
