DUNEDIN MISSIONARY TRAINING HOME.

The second annual report of the Dunedin Missionary Training Home was presented at a meeting of a social order held in the Y.W.C.A. Booms on the 10th inst. Mr William Brown presided, and helpful addresses were given by, the chairman, Revs. Messis Guy and Wamwnght, Me=&rs John Wilkinson, A. R.. Falconer, and H. H. Driver. Sister Madge Fear, accompanied by Miss Aitken, conti"ibutod asacred song. Mrs Driver, in presenting the report, stated that in June last the home wss removed into more commodious premises in. Castle street north ; that five new candidates for testing and training had been admitted ckiring the yeaa% and that there were now seven lesident ai-d live non-resident students in tLr home; that the home is inter-der.ommational, and dependent entiiely on unsolicited donations ; and that since last report Miss Joan M'Gregor had left the home for mission work 111 Poona, India, and Mies M. Irglesby had ju^t left for Sydney prior to entering on mission work with the Kew Zealand Baptist Miss.onnry Society in Eastern Bengal. During the. past year classes in " Bible Study," " Christian Ethics," "Evidences of Christianity," " Outlines of Christian Doctrine," " Physiology," '• Medicine," " English," and " Music " have been conducted gratuitously by willing helpers ; and active Christian work of a varied nature has been done by the inmates of the home. Mrs Driver said that the needs of the home were met voluntary gifU and contributions in nioney and. piovi=ion3, and in concluding spoke of the joy it had been both to her husband and hersslf in helping to qualify and equip the young women, who had cnteied the home for the work in the mission field, to winch they believed God had called them, and that the motto of the home still is, " Have faith in God." Sister Elsie Lily returned! thanks to Mr and Mrs Driver and friends who had been helpers of the institution during tha year just c^rd.
