April 5. The Federal Government have received intimation that Germany will be represented at the opening of the Federal Parliament by the warships Hansa and Cormoran. The former is coming specially from the China station. Russia will be represented by M. Gromsboi, and America by either the New York or Brooklyn. April 7. Sir John Quick is a candidate for the Speakership in the Federal House of Parliament. Lord Hopetoun, the Governor-General, received an enthusiastic welcome on arrival. ADELAIDE, April 3. The Hon. F. W. Holder has decided to become a candidate for the Speakership in the Federal House of Representatives. WELLINGTON, April 3.
