A. M. — Probably your foal has sprained her hock by subjecting it to more exertion and carrying moro weight than its share on account of the foot on the other leg being crippled. Apply a cooling astringent lotion instead of blistering. X. V. — It is a very unusual occurrence, and would Tequire further investigation befoie a useful opinion could be given. Southland Farmer. — It would be impossible to say what was the cause of the lameness m your horse without making a personal examination, and until the lameness can be located a cure cannot be expected. It is possible a long rest and the horse turned out during the winter months may restore him so as to enable him to become useful, but it is very unlikely ever to make him a sound animal.
