John Skeue and Son report under date April 9 — Harvesting being about o\er, the heawesi Mill hands 9d and lOd per hour, ploughmen, and horsemen, and this class is easily placed. Poisoners and trappers are also going off fiee'.y. For giooms, milkeis, station hands, and handy lads there is a good demand, especially for milkers. We quote wages as follows — Mill hands, 9d to lOd per hour , ploughmen, lap to 22s 6d , grooms, 20s , poisoners, from 15s to 27s 6d, trappers, 4d per pair, milkers, '. rom 10s to 22= 6d , station hands, 17s 6d ; hoi-se-dnvers, 18s to 20s.
