A CLEVER TRTCK

While De Wet's force w ere in the south of the Orange River Colony they captured three British soldiers, disarmed them, and told them to follow on, which they did, until they came to a sluit, wherein they hid themselves. Shortly afterwards 10 Boers came along, and one of tho party jumped up, shouting, "Hands up!" and calling on his comrades to cover the Boers, he disarmed them. The Boers, thinking they were outnumbered, surrendered their arms, and were taken prisoners to the camp.
