THE CONINGHAM DIVORCE CASE.
SYDNEY, March 26. The hearing of the Coningham v. Coningham (O'Haran co-respondent) divorce suit is still proceeding befoie Mr Justice Owen and a special jury of 12. The last tw o days have been devoted to the examination of witnesses with a view to disproving the petitioner's statement that the letters which are alleged to have pa>sed between him and the respondent were forgeries March 28. In the Coningham divorce suit the corespondent's case is closed, and the petitioner is now calling evidence in reply. Judge Owen intimated that unless an arrangement were made that another judge could take his circuit work he would to-day have to adjourn the fuither hearing until May 28. The hearing of evidence in the case was concluded to-day. Mr Want was addressing the jury when the court adjourned till Monday. April 1. The hearing of the Coningham v. After Mr Want had concluded his address to the jury, Coningham delivered an excited address. He violently accused Dr Q'H&iau of dcbUoying his happiness. Ha
emphatically repudiated the insinuations of conspiracy. He said that if damages were awarded he would not touch one penny, but ask the coiut to tie up the money for the benefit of the children. The case v»js not concluded vi hen the court rose.
