NEW ZEALAND'S ROLL OF HONOUR.

We have attempted to compile a list of the . Casualties to those who left the colony as members of the various contingents from advices received by letter and the cables received by the Government from Sir Alfred Milner; but the information has been so meagre and in some instances so misleading }that we have considerable diffidence in submitting the list which follows. We have checked it so far as it has been possible to do so, and publish it tentatively, in the hope Jthat the Defence department will submit an list. It will be noticed that we hay« included among those killed the names of Lieutenants Neave and Parker, because they left the colony as members of our contingents, although when they met their death they were holding Imperial commissions, fend Were not with the New Zealanders : — KILLED IN ACTION.
