EXPORT OF GOLD AND SILVER. WELLINGTON, January 4.
I The export of gold from the colony fot the month of December amounted to , 34,0080z, vilued at £130,738. The exports from the -^arious ports were: — Auckland, 18,4450z, valued at £69,037; Nelson, 3090z, valued at £1161 ; Greymouth, , 17890z, valued at £7159 ; Dunedin, 13,4650z, | valued at £54,381. The amounts for the colony for the corresponding month of the previous year were 39,6750z, valued at
£153,602. 1 The total export of gold for the year 1900 was 371,9950z, valued at £1,432,953, as compared with 369,5850z, valued at £1,513,272. for 1899. Trie amount of silver exported from the colony diu'ing December last was 32,7320z, valued at £3835, as compared with 31.9680z, valued at £3768 for the corresponding period of the previous year.
