The well-known proprietor of the Great Barrier and other piaeonsjram agencies (Mr Holden Howie) leaves on Monday nex.t for Sjydney and" Melbourne (says the Auckland Star), where he intends to' visit all the pigeon fanciers, with the view of obtaining fresh strains of homing pigeons, and also bringing back a number of the best birds he can obtain, -both in homers and fancy pigeons. He expects to secure at least 40 birds.
